Lexus CT 200h (A1) Service Reset (2011–2022)

If your Lexus CT 200h is still showing a maintenance reminder after service, you can usually clear it from the instrument display or the touchscreen menu, depending on equipment. This guide covers the Lexus CT 200h (A1) built from 2011 to 2022 with the 2ZR-FXE hybrid powertrain.

Applicable Vehicle

  • Make: Lexus
  • Model: CT 200h
  • Generation: A1
  • Years: 2011–2022
  • Engine: 2ZR-FXE
  • Procedure type: Service indicator reset

Before You Start

Make sure the vehicle is parked safely and the ignition instructions are followed exactly. On push-button-start models, ignition ON means the electronics are active without starting the engine.

  • Do not start the engine during the reset procedure unless specifically required.
  • If your car has a touchscreen, use the menu-based method below.
  • If your car does not have a touchscreen, use the trip display method.

How to Reset the Service Light on Lexus CT 200h Without Touchscreen

Use this method for Lexus CT 200h models that rely on the instrument display and trip button rather than a touchscreen settings menu.

  1. Switch the ignition on, but do not start the engine.
  2. Do not press the brake pedal while switching the ignition on.
  3. Use the trip button until the display shows TRIP A.
  4. Switch the ignition back off.
  5. Press and hold the trip button.
  6. While holding the button, switch the ignition on again.
  7. On push-button-start vehicles, this usually means pressing the start/stop button twice without pressing the brake.
  8. Keep holding the trip button until the display resets and the maintenance indicator clears.
  9. Once the reset sequence finishes, release the button and confirm the reminder is gone.

How to Reset the Service Light on Lexus CT 200h With Touchscreen

Some Lexus CT 200h vehicles allow the service reminder to be reset through the vehicle settings menu.

  1. Turn the ignition on without starting the engine.
  2. Press the MENU button.
  3. Open SETUP.
  4. Go to Vehicle.
  5. Select Maintenance.
  6. Choose Engine Oil.
  7. Adjust the remaining distance or service interval as needed.
  8. Select RESET to confirm.
  9. Check that the maintenance reminder has been cleared.

What If the Service Reminder Does Not Reset?

  • Repeat the steps from the beginning and make sure the correct display mode is selected.
  • Verify that TRIP A is shown before starting the manual reset sequence.
  • Make sure the ignition is on without the engine running.
  • If the vehicle has a touchscreen, confirm you are resetting the engine oil maintenance item rather than only changing a setting without saving it.
  • If the message remains, cycle the ignition off and on and recheck the cluster.

Notes for Lexus CT 200h Owners

This reset only clears the service reminder. It does not replace the actual maintenance work. If the oil has not been changed or the scheduled inspection has not been completed, reset the indicator only after the required service has been carried out.
