What Is a VIN Build Sheet?
Every vehicle built at a factory receives a unique build sheet — a complete record of every option, package, engine variant, transmission, safety system, and sales code fitted to that specific vehicle. This is not a generic spec sheet for your model. It is the exact configuration your car left the factory with, decoded directly from manufacturer production records.
Knowing your exact build matters for diagnostics, repairs, and parts ordering. Two identical-looking vehicles can have completely different wiring, different ABS configurations, different airbag setups, and different emissions systems — all invisible from the outside.
What You Get
- Engine & transmission codes — exact engine variant, gearbox, transfer case, axle ratios
- Factory safety equipment — airbag count and placement, pretensioner configuration, ESC type
- Emissions system — SCR/urea, EGR, particulate filter, evap system codes
- Electrical & convenience options — every factory-fitted module, sensor, and feature
- Paint, trim & interior codes — factory color, seat material, trim level
- Build date & assembly plant — production date and manufacturing location
- All factory sales codes decoded — human-readable descriptions for every option fitted
Delivered as a multi-page PDF to your email address. If we cannot find factory records for your VIN, you get a full refund — no questions asked.
Why This Is Useful
Workshop manuals and online guides cover the model. Your build sheet covers your vehicle. When diagnosing a fault code, knowing whether your vehicle has the anti-spin differential, the trailer brake controller, or the cold-weather package can completely change the diagnostic path. When ordering parts, knowing your factory axle ratio or your exact transmission variant prevents costly mistakes.
Mechanics, body shops, and DIY owners use build sheets to verify factory-fitted equipment before ordering parts, confirm SRS and airbag component counts, check emissions equipment for compliance or delete work, and understand why a scan tool shows unexpected modules.

FAQ
What do I need to place an order?
Your 17-digit VIN number, found on the dashboard (driver’s side, visible through the windscreen), the door jamb sticker, or your registration document. We also need a valid email address to send the report to — this is collected at checkout.
Which vehicles are supported?
Most vehicles manufactured for the US and European markets from the mid-1990s onward. If we cannot locate factory records for your VIN, we will contact you and issue a full refund.
How is this different from a free VIN decoder?
Free VIN decoders decode the VIN digits — they tell you the model year, engine family, and country of manufacture from the VIN structure itself. Our report is pulled from manufacturer production records and includes every factory sales code fitted to your specific vehicle, decoded into plain language. This is the same data a dealership or authorised workshop uses.
Can I use this for insurance or legal purposes?
This report is intended for diagnostic and maintenance reference. It is not an official manufacturer document and should not be used as a legal or insurance certificate.
What if my vehicle is not supported?
We will contact you at the email address you provided and issue a full refund.
